Livable Black Futures Lab

Situated at the intersection of storytelling, health justice, and futurity.

About the Lab

Livable Black Futures is a Black feminist research lab and collaboratory that advances health humanities scholarship at the intersections of reproductive justice, storytelling, and Black wellness. Through interdisciplinary research, community engagement, and pedagogical innovation, the Lab generates knowledge and practice aimed at improving long-term Black health outcomes and sustaining livable futures.

The Lab integrates literary analysis, narrative praxis, and social justice research to address structural inequities shaping Black life, while cultivating sustainable pathways toward collective care, healing, and flourishing.
